diet?
Despite the title of my blog, this is NOT a ‘diet’ diary. This is a life-long mission to revamp my lifestyle. It’s a day-to-day, conscious effort to live healthy and make smart choices. Each day IS a struggle - some days are easy - some suck!
I decided to start blogging on Tumblr for the accountability, networking, motivation, inspiration, recipes, workouts, etc. I’ve also found friendships — huge bonus :)
I have tried diets in my lifetime maybe 50 different times! It’s a huge misconception to think that losing weight or changing a lifestyle is easy. It’s a huge misconception for people to think that I (or any person seeking weight loss/lifestyle changes) wants to remain overweight or unhealthy.
I think one of the most important things you can do if you want to lose weight and develop a healthy esteem is STOP WAITING! It’s okay to be happy with yourself, and heal from the inside. If you put off your life for when you’re the perfect weight, you’ll never be happy!
The biggest catalyst for me - this time around - in losing weight has been turning around my attitude. Health is holistic, you can’t be healthy without realizing this and examining each layer of health in your life - especially your attitude toward yourself and self esteem. So, love yourself today and you’ll be even more inclined to hit the gym, skip the dessert and make dinner with veggies!
